Matching the trends happening in Europe, fewer US women are getting married and they’re waiting longer to tie the knot, according to new data released Thursday.

The marriage rate in the US is currently 31.01, the lowest it’s been in over a century, according to the National Center for Family and Marriage Research (NCFMR) at Bowling Green State University.
